NASHVILLE, Tenn (RFD-TV) This past weekend Better Barrel Races held the 4th RFD-TV's THE AMERICAN qualifier in Rapid City, South Dakota at the 6th annual Prospector Challenge

Futurity rider Hallie Hanssen was the star of the show, taking 1st and 3rd place in the qualifier race. She and "Tres Movidas" stopped the clock at 16.192, then she hopped on "Whats A Guy To Do" for a time of 16.372. The two runs combined earned Hanssen a total of $2,400.

Hanssen continued, "The horse that I won it on was Tres Movidas. I futuritied on her last year. She's by Tres Seis and she's out of a mare that went to the NFR - Sheza Blazin Move."

Taking 2nd place and a $1,200 check was KL Spratt riding "KK Splash Colours" with a time of 16.289. The recent college graduate said, "I've never made it before, but I'm excited!"
