The Wrangler National Finals Rodeo picked up steam in Las Vegas yesterday. There were a few shakeups in the world standings in the wake of Round 2: in Steer Wrestling, Tyler Pearson moved to the top of the pile, with previous leader Curtis Cassidy, dropping all the way to fourth place; in Saddle Bronc, Ryder Wright overtook Jacobs Crawley, who dropped to second place; and in Tie Down Roping, Tuf Cooper knocked off Shane Hanchey, who dropped to second place.

On last night’s edition of “Rodeo Las Vegas,” world champion tie-down roper Tyson Durfey talked about the recent loss of his horse, Nikko.
